week 1 in English

Because of this Mexican girl I met, I will put last message in English :) Because Dutch is for foreigners as incomprehensible as Finnish or Russian, and that means somehting. I'm not that good at writing English so Jessica I apologise for spelling mistakes ;)

This week I have been running around to do some administration work, most of the time to hear that I'm not at the right office or I don't have the right papers. (like in Belgium) because I missed this orientation course. But it has to be said, Finnish people are really kind. E.g. when I had to take the buss to Viikki, immediatly there were 2 Fins to explain to me, and to give me a lesson in Finnish History :-) They are also very punctual, I can learn from this ;) Like when they say "wait a copple of minutes" they really mean "3 minutes". Finnish people will rarely start talking to someone, but once you have talked them they are really friendly.

The day before yesterday I met the buddies from ESN, all very cool people. Apparantly when you arrive in Finland, you should have a Finnish tutor who takes care of you and helps you with administration. As I don't have a tutor, my groop decided to help me and gave me lots of practical information. There was yesterday (so actually the day before yesterday as I'm writing this a day later) a cool quiz with the buddies from ESN. Here at Vuolukiventie are all erasmus people, so it's more easy to meet people.

Yesterday I've been to the campus of Viikki to meet the professor but she wasn't there, also the responsible for the erasmus people wasn't there :(

There's yet so much to tell, like this Mexican girl I met a copple of days ago and which who I discovered the city of Helsinki. I tell her about Belgium and Europe, and she tells me about Mexico and Mexico city, and this way you enrich eachother. Actually with a lot of erasmus people it goes this way.  If you meet someone from a country, you meet the country, and that's the cool thing about erasmus.

PS When I jumped of the buss yesterday it wa -13°Celcius !
PS 2 I now have a finnish mobile phone number: 00358 449 13 87 92, which I use the less possible because it is quite expensive.
